This exhibition is dedicated to the natural history of Cyprus.
It has an impressive collection of rocks, minerals and fossils. Accurately chosen exhibits brightly demonstrate different phases of geological formation of the Island and evolution of its inhabitants since the time when Cyprus arose from sea depths. They tell an interesting story of the life on land and water.
Some exhibits were brought from abroad to create the whole picture of life evolution on the island in the contest of the whole planet Earth.

Meteorites that fall to Earth represent some of the original, diverse materials that formed planets billions of years ago. By studying meteorites we can learn about early conditions and processes in the solar system’s history. These include the age and composition of different planetary building blocks, the temperatures achieved at the surfaces and interiors of asteroids, and the degree to which materials were shocked by impacts in the past.
Tektites are small, pebble-like glassy objects of Earth material that have been melted by meteorite impact, splashed up into our atmosphere, and fallen to Earth again under gravity.

Explore the reconstructed model of the unique, worldwide famous Antikythera Mechanism.
The Antikythera mechanism is an Ancient Greek hand-powered orrery (model of the Solar System), described as the oldest known example of an analogue computer used to predict astronomical positions and eclipses decades in advance. It could also be used to track the four-year cycle of athletic games which was similar to an Olympiad, the cycle of the ancient Olympic Games.
