The KITION PLANETARIUM & OBSERVATORY is at your disposal to create a customized event which mathches your needs or ideas.
It can be an event for a group or an individual.
You may include:
- Rock Exhibition
- Guided tour the radiotelescope
- A combination exhibition such as the "Space Exhibition" or the 'Cyprus Geology and Fossils'
- A planetarium program, presentation or movie
- Optical telescope observations or radiotelescope observations upon availability
The Average duration of the customized event should be around 2 hours.
A typically a customized events for tourists includes the planetarium program "Venus - Cypriot".
We may fulfill any requests for any specific topics according to your needs, but also consider the following interesting planetarium programs:
- "Did Americans Land on the Moon?"
- "Charles Darwin"
- "Extreme Stars"
- "Pi-Day"
- "Meteor Showers", and more...
Some of Planetarium programs were developed already, feel free to check and choose the one, which suits you better.
In the case of small groups, the telescope observation sessions are longer and gives your more observation time and more detailed observations with more informations compared to the ones during public events.
Events can be scheduled in
day time, so the observations will include the Sun with UV blocking filters but also the speactacular use of H-α filters which will reveal the chromosphere, the outer atmosphere of the Sun.
Events scheduled for the evening/night, will give you the chance for a guided tour of the best objects visible at the specific evening/night.
