On 17th September, the Full Moon will be very close to the Earth.
It will be another SuperMoon!
The ringed planet Saturn will also appear larger than usual, due to its recent opposition.
We will host a public event,
which will include a presentation in English language and observations of the spectacular Supermoon next to beautiful Saturn.
The Moon and Saturn will come very close together. The Moon will be 14 days old.
From Larnaca, the pair will be visible between 19:27 and 04:49.
The Moon will be at mag -12.8, and Saturn at mag 0.6, both in the constellation Aquarius.
The pair will be close enough to fit within the field of view of a telescope,
but will also be visible to the naked eye or through a pair of binoculars.
Join us at the KITON PLANETARIUM & OBSERVATORY premises in Kiti to observe this magnificant view from our large telescopes.
