Since 2008 KITION PLANETARIUM & OBSERVATORY has offered Science Café sessions

for all visitors to share their passion for science and astronomy.

From the year 2021 we are holding Science Café meetings online, as well.

Since January 2021, visitors from different parts of the world participated in our online sessions,

discussing observations, latest news in astronomy and sharing their achievements.

In archeoastronomy research conducted by the KITION PLANETARIUM & OBSERVATORY,

it was found that the basic myths, which are usually named myths of the creation and the end of the world,

and which come from different cultures in different parts of the Earth,

is deeply connected with the description of total solar eclipse.

Majority of them include tree with different meanings, such as the Tree of Life or the World Tree.

This meeting of the Science Café will propose heuristic approach in search of the Oldest World Tree in human culture.

ОНЛАЙН НАУЧНОЕ КАФЕ 30 АВГУСТА 2022 г.

20:00 (UT+3:00) «Древнейшее Мировое Древо. Эвристический подход.»

В изысканиях по археоастрономии, проводимых в Планетарии и Обсерватории Китиона, было установлено,

что в основе мифов различных народов, которые принято называть мифами творения и конца света,

лежит описание полного солнечного затмения. Большинство этих мифов включают древо в различных значениях,

например, Древо Жизни или Мировое Дерево.

На встрече этого научного кафе будет применён эвристический подход к поиску самого древнего Мирового Дерева в культуре человечества.
