Since 2008 KITION PLANETARIUM & OBSERVATORY has offered Science Café sessions

for all visitors to share their passion for science and astronomy.

From the year 2021 we are holding Science Café meetings online, as well.

Since January, visitors from different parts of the world participated in our online sessions,

discussing observations, latest news in astronomy and sharing their achievements.

This ONLINE SCIENCE CAFÉ, is about YURI GAGARIN and the WORLD'S COSMONAUTICS DAY.

An event in commemoration of Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human into space on April 12, 1961.

A brief talk about Yuri Gagarin's life, its achievements and about the space program Vostok1.

What followed Gagarin's flight?.

An open discussion with the participants will follow.
