Since 2008 KITION PLANETARIUM & OBSERVATORY has offered Science Café sessions

for all visitors to share their passion for science and astronomy.

From the year 2021 we are holding Science Café meetings online, as well.

Since January, visitors from different parts of the world participated in our online sessions,

discussing observations, latest news in astronomy and sharing their achievements.

Our astrophysicist Alexandr Prokofyev will present the main

night sky events for July and August 2021.

The talk includes the Perseids meteor shower and

the possible outburst due to approach to a calculated 1-revolution dust trail of comet C/1852 K1.

The shadows on Jupiter, from its moons, Jupiter Io and Callisto on 29 July 2021,

as the Nova in Hercules Constellation V1674 Her.

Finally information about the comet C2020 T2 (Palomar) will be given.
